Shanghai East China Import and Export Fair – China Import and Export Fair (ECF) is China’s largest import and export trade fair, focusing on textile and garment and light industrial products industries. It is jointly organised by 9 provinces and cities, including Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Anhui, Fujian, Jiangxi, Shandong, Nanjing and Ningbo. Since its inception in 1991, China Commodity Fair has adhered to the direction of specialisation, marketisation and internationalisation, and has gradually grown into a foreign trade event second only to Canton Fair.
This year’s China Commodity Fair has been upgraded in terms of scale and ‘gold content’ to help foreign trade enterprises win more orders. Shanghai East China Import and Export Commodities Fair – China Fair ECF exhibition scale of 126,500 square metres, an increase of 21,300 square metres over the previous session, with clothing and apparel exhibition, textile fabrics exhibition, home furnishings exhibition, decorative gifts exhibition of four professional sub-exhibition and overseas and cross-border e-commerce in two professional exhibition areas. There were 3,500 exhibitors, including 326 overseas exhibitors from 13 countries and regions, and the scale of exhibitors exceeded that of the previous exhibition.
With the theme of ‘Focusing on quality improvement and upgrading, and firmly promoting the high-quality development of foreign trade’, the opening forum invited provincial and municipal commerce departments, domestic foreign trade associations, industry representatives, senior experts and scholars to discuss topics such as the adjustment of global supply chain and the development of China’s foreign trade, the Pilot Free Trade Zone and the opening up of the country to the outside world at a high level, and the green trade, among others.
