The Qingdao Industrial Expo (QIIE) is themed “Green Industry, Smart Future”, focusing on the latest technologies and products in the fields of CNC machine tools, laser and sheet metal processing equipment, industrial automation and power transmission, industrial robots, industrial Internet, welding and cutting equipment, casting machinery, castings, casting materials, green factories, engineering building materials and engineering machinery.
Qingdao West Coast New Area is the ninth national-level new area approved by the State Council. It is located in the core area between the Shandong Peninsula Blue Economic Zone and the Bohai Rim Economic Circle, the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Metropolitan Circle and the Yangtze River Delta Metropolitan Circle. It is the main sea route in the Yellow River Basin and an important eastern end of the Eurasian Continental Bridge. Qingdao West Coast has a strong industrial foundation and has formed six trillion-yuan industrial clusters, including port shipping, petrochemicals, home appliances and electronics, marine engineering, automobiles and parts, and machinery. It is an important advanced manufacturing base and emerging marine industry cluster in China.
The Qingdao Industrial Expo (QIIE) is expected to have a total scale of 100,000 square meters. At the same time, it will cooperate with a number of national, provincial and municipal industry associations (schools) and competent authorities to form a strong alliance and organize more than 80 supporting conference and forum activities at the same time. By then, more than 100,000 professional visitors will visit and purchase.
The ten industrial functional zones of Qingdao Industrial Expo (QIIE) not only cover Qingdao’s three traditional advantageous industries, namely home appliances, electronics, automobiles, and petrochemicals, but also cover the seven core competitive industries that lead Qingdao’s current and future industrial development, namely rail transit, high-end equipment, intelligent manufacturing, new energy vehicles, aviation, biomedicine, and military industry.
